What is Chor-Portal?
Rehearsal plan, sheet music, member list, polls: in most choirs these are spread across half a dozen programs. And only ever one person knows where the current version is.
Chor-Portal brings it all into one place. Everyone in the choir signs in and sees what's coming up, what's being rehearsed and what still needs doing. The committee no longer has to chase everyone.
Built for everyone from 12 to 80: easy-to-read type, plain words, every button labelled. In all four national languages and in English.
Every choir knows this: “Schedule_final_version5_FINAL.docx”, Doodle link from the March email, Excel list from 2019, 12× “Are you coming on Thursday?”, Poll answers in 14 emails, Phone tree, “Menus and allergies for the restaurant?”, “Who has the music from the last concert?”, “Who has a GA, who a Half Fare card?”, “Who's taking the minutes this time?”. The solution: Chor-Portal, everything in one place.
Features
This is what Chor-Portal looks like when you sign in. Choose a section to see it.
Rehearsals, performances and occasions in one calendar. Anyone who can't make it says so with one click.
For every event you see who's coming, which voices are missing, what the choir eats and who has which public transport pass.
Every concert gets its own place: the programme, the songs and all the files that go with it.
Ask the choir instead of digging answers out of the group chat. You see straight away who has answered and who hasn't yet.
Every song with sheet music, recordings, key and length, searchable by title, composer or genre. From it you put together the repertoire: the songs you're currently singing.
Who sings which voice, who's new, who eats vegetarian. New members join via an invitation link, and the list is available as Excel at any time.
Minutes, statutes and practice tracks in folders, in the same place for everyone. Word and Excel files open right in the browser.
Who takes the minutes, who organises the lifts? Every duty has a description and a clear person in charge.
Who has which music stand and what condition it's in.

For admins
Each person gets exactly the tasks they take on in the choir, whether committee, conductor or singer. Several people can share a task, and anyone who doesn't want to manage anything doesn't have to.
Example: Anna (Soprano, president): Manage members, Choir settings, Manage invoices; Reto (Conductor): Manage events, Manage song archive; Laura (Soprano): Manage song archive, Manage music stands; Seraina (Alto, secretary): Manage events, Manage polls, Manage choir duties; David (Tenor): Manage music stands, Manage polls; Marco (Bass, treasurer): Manage invoices; Ursula (Alto): no tasks.
Several choirs
You sing in the church choir and the youth choir? Under “My choirs” you switch with one click, and you see the open events and polls of all your choirs at a glance.
You only enter your details once. And your account costs you nothing, however many choirs you're in.
Pricing
You pay one price for the whole choir. The size of the choir sets the tier.

If your choir grows, the subscription moves up to the next tier by itself. All active members are counted, and we count generously.
Chor-Portal is free for singers. The choir pays for the subscription.
Storage
25GB
for everything the choir uploads. Included in every tier.
Files are where they belong
Not everything in one folder. Every song carries its own files: the sheet music as PDF, a MIDI file for practice, the recording of your own part. Every project its own: programme, rehearsal plan, seating plan. And alongside, the choir's archive for everything else, from minutes and statutes to concert photos.
Your cloud is part of it
Is everything already in OneDrive, iCloud or Google Drive? Then just add a link in the portal, exactly where the file would otherwise be. The whole choir finds it in the right place, and the concert video, which on its own weighs more than the entire music archive, takes up no space with us.
And if it still isn't enough
50 GB are added as soon as they're needed, if you've set it up that way. Up to a limit you set yourselves: 100, 200, 300, 400 or 475 GB. The first 25 GB stay free. Without this setting, storage never costs anything.
CHF 15.–per 50 GB and year
3 months free
For the first 3 months you can use everything and pay nothing. After that it continues automatically as paid, on the tier that fits your size. If you don't want to stay, delete the choir before the end, and no invoice is issued.
